In November 2021, I set up a TikTok account in the entertainment industry, specifically fortune-telling. I was supposed to be using the account to promote my book, but my book had been experiencing publishing delays - this put me off the promotion of the account until 2022. I posted to this account once or twice, but I hadn’t started posting properly until the following March.

I had been posting to the account for a week or so until I found the winning formula. Regrettably, my first ‘viral’ video on this account was poorly shot on my couch on a dark day! But the video still did well, gaining 200,000 views in its first day. In fact, many of the videos on the account were shot outside in forests or in shops (such as BNQ).

I was active with this account from March 2022 until August 2022. In August 2022, the profile hit 50,000 followers. I decided to stop creating new content for the channel because I had enough viral videos that the profile was self-sustaining garnering 1000’s of views per day.

To this day, the profile still receives thousands of views every week despite the fact that it has been three years since I used the account.

The average number of views for the posts on this account was 66,000. I posted an average of 1.2 posts per day or 5.8 posts per week.
